Removing headings or adding new ones/altering the structure
You create headings using equals (=) signs either side of the heading words. Using more "equals" (=) signs creates further subsections. Don't skip levels, like from two to four equals signs. Start with 2 equals signs not 1 because 1 should be reserved for the page title. You remove headings by doing the reverse.
In this way you can alter the structure of the document
Simple formatting
New lines/New paragraphs: A single newline generally has no effect on the layout. These can be used to separate sentences within a paragraph. An empty line starts a new paragraph
Bold and Italic Text: You can italicize text by putting 2 apostrophes on each side, 3 apostrophes will bold the text', 5 apostrophes will bold and italicize the text. (Using 4 apostrophes doesn't do anything special, they are just ' left over ones' that are included as part of the text)
Creating your profile
To create a short profile with a short introduction about you and your background, please click on your user name in the top left corner of the website on the black bar. This will take you to a page where you can write a little about yourself. This means whenever another user clicks on your name they can see this information.
